This is an important updates on UK Visa requirement, on your English language ability.
Before the recent general election, the UKBA were considering reforms which would have required all students applying for a student visa to the UK to take a “third party” English test such as IELTS, TOEFL or the Pearson English Test (PTE).
These reforms were originally planned for July 2010 but it currently appears these will not come into effect until August 2010 at the earliest, and there remains no firm date for implementation.
UKBA entry requirements are clear: ‘students are judged against the visa requirements as they appear on the day of their application’.
In summary, for students who would like to go to UK for a higher education, you will need to sit for IELTS, TOEFL or the Pearson English Test (PTE). Internal English Test may no longer be effective any more.
